Eligibility criteria:

a)General surgeons who are performing basic laparoscopic surgeries for at least two years OR have performed over 250 laparoscopic procedures.
b) Should have performed fair number of upper GI surgeries like Lap fundoplication and lap cardiomyotomy.

Objectives– At the end of the course trainees would have
a) Gained knowledge about various surgical techniques of laparoscopic bariatric surgery.
b) Understood the technique of different bariatric procedures.
c) Oriented to preoperative intraoperative and post operative care of a bariatric patient.
d)Comprehend the safety aspects of laparoscopic bariatric surgery
e) Be well versed about tackling complications that could occur during lap bariatric surgery
f) Assimilated the indications and contraindications for the different procedures.

Course Content

TRAINING PROCESS FOR ONLINE COURSE
ENROLLMENT – Student must click on register now and fill the form. Once we verify your details, we will send you the payment link through email/WhatsApp. DURATION – Three weeks course with three weekly modules. The course is covered in 25 master class videos each video of 30-40 minutes duration. On Zoom meeting every Saturday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM IST an Online Examination (MCQ) Pattern will be conducted followed by doubts clearing session. STEPWISE APPROACH – Once registered, a stepwise course link would be shared on your email. VALIDITY OF THE ONLINE COURSE – After stepwise release the student will have access to the entire course for another 3 weeks. EXAMINATION – The student must clear an online exam, at the end of the course. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION – A completion certificate will be issued after the clearance of the exam. HANDS ON TRAINING – After completion of the on line course the student is entitled to enroll for FMAS course directly at SMASTI, New Delhi India.
